Artist statute

For professionals in the cultural sector, the daily practice is quite complex. Some work within the same structure or partnerships for most of their careers, but most work in different environments, in short-term projects, often as freelancers or in other uncertain situations. People in the cultural sector work hard, but all too often in difficult and uncertain circumstances.

Improving the labour situation in the arts sector is one of the main objectives of the "Working in the arts" project. To achieve this, the government wants to initiate a broad debate on the classic themes of social security. Indeed, the participation of stakeholders must play a fundamental role in this improvement. The interplay between the artist statute and self-employed activity as well as the transition mechanisms from and to the statute as self-employed can be discussed.

This debate is about unemployment.
